Reports, prime cost, GST and PST totals, and a full export

Tasti Desk's Reports tab gives a simple management P&L for any date range: sales from your POS, food and drink cost % by category, labour % from scheduled wages, operating costs by category, what's left over, prime cost %, and GST and PST totals for your bookkeeper. You can download bills as a CSV, and the owner can export everything Desk holds as one ZIP of CSV files at any time.

What it does

  • Management P&L. Sales, food and drink (cost of goods) % by category, labour %, operating costs by category and what's left over, for any date range.
  • Prime cost. Food and drink cost plus labour as a share of sales, with a note on the range most independents aim for.
  • For your bookkeeper. GST and PST totals, and bills as a CSV with date, supplier, bill number, total, GST, PST and status.
  • Export everything. The owner downloads one ZIP with a CSV per table (people, schedules, bills and lines, recipes, stock, sales and more) plus a README. Secrets are never exported.
  • Activity log. A read-only history of who changed what and when, in Settings.
  • What Desk saved you. A running estimate of overtime avoided, duplicate bills caught, price rises passed on and admin time, with estimates marked as estimates.

How it works

  1. Open Money, then Reports, and pick the date range.
  2. Download the bills CSV for your bookkeeper.
  3. For everything, the owner goes to Settings, Data and security, Export everything.

Who it’s for

Owners who want a quick read on the month and clean numbers to hand their bookkeeper.

In BC and the rest of Canada

  • GST and PST are reported separately, as BC bookkeeping needs.

What it doesn’t do

  • Not a replacement for your accountant's financial statements.
  • No QuickBooks or Xero connection; exports are CSV.
  • Labour % uses scheduled wages, before overtime adjustments and employer costs.

Questions

Can I export my data?

Yes. The owner can export everything as one ZIP of CSV files at any time, and Reports has a bills CSV for any date range.

Does it show prime cost?

Yes. Reports and the All locations view show prime cost % (food and drink cost plus labour, as a share of sales).

Does it replace my bookkeeper?

No. It gives your bookkeeper clean bills, categories and GST/PST totals.
