What Tasti Desk does for cafés
- Short shifts, opening and closing cover. Build the week with forecast sales on top. Desk shows labour % per day and flags daily and weekly overtime, too little rest between a close and an open, no keyholder at opening and days with too few people on.
- Milk, beans and cups going up. Forward the dairy, coffee and packaging bills. Desk reads every line, compares it with what you paid before and shows what a price rise costs a month and per latte.
- Drink and food cost. Recipes for each drink and bake, costed from the latest bills against your target food cost, with the price that keeps your margin.
- Stock and orders. Counts on a phone, what runs out before the next delivery, and an order list you adjust with big plus and minus buttons.
- Staff without another app. Baristas get a private link for their shifts, days off and availability. Wages and sales are never shown to them.
The features behind it
What it looks like day to day
A typical morning: Avo's note says yesterday's sales and labour %, which two items sold out, that oat milk went up on the last bill, and that Saturday is short one opener. You fix the shift, confirm the price change, and you're done before the doors open.
POS and setup
Square connects in a few minutes and brings in real sales, menu and team. On another POS, the founder builds the connection on request; schedule, team, bills, menu and stock work either way. Setup takes about 15 minutes: name the venue, connect the POS, bring in the team, forward the first bill.
Price
$149 CAD per location a month, or $1,490 CAD a year. Everything is in one plan, for 1 to 5 locations. The first 30 days are free and no card is needed. Founding 20: the first 20 venues in Vancouver pay $99 CAD a month, for good.
Who makes it
Tasti Desk is built by Tasti.io in Burnaby, BC, by founder Yuriy Romanyuk, a former restaurant operator in Vancouver. Your data is stored in Canada and never sold. See also: Tasti Desk in Metro Vancouver, BC scheduling rules in plain words and how Desk compares. Prices and plans: pricing.
