Part-time and student staff. Each person sets their own availability and asks for days off from a private link, no app. Shifts on days they can't work are flagged before you publish.
Cost per scoop, cup and cone. One recipe per size (single, double, pint) with base, toppings, cone or cup, lid and spoon, costed from your latest bills, against your target food cost.
Sold out flavours. Mark a flavour sold out and it shows on your online menu and website embed right away, and resets the next day.
Freezer counts. Count tubs and pans by freezer in walking order, see what runs out before the next dairy delivery, and build the order.

What it looks like day to day

A typical summer week: the dairy supplier's bill shows cream up, Desk flags it and shows what it adds to a double scoop, the Saturday schedule is flagged for a closer who'd be back for the open with under 8 hours off, and the pistachio you marked sold out at 4 pm is off the online menu straight away.

POS and setup

Square connects in a few minutes and brings in real sales, menu and team. On another POS, the founder builds the connection on request; schedule, team, bills, menu and stock work either way. Setup takes about 15 minutes: name the venue, connect the POS, bring in the team, forward the first bill.

Price

$149 CAD per location a month, or $1,490 CAD a year. Everything is in one plan, for 1 to 5 locations. The first 30 days are free and no card is needed. Founding 20: the first 20 venues in Vancouver pay $99 CAD a month, for good.
