What Tasti Desk does for bakeries and dessert shops
- Early bake, late counter. Early starts and split days are checked against BC defaults: both parts of a split day add up toward daily overtime, and staff need 8 hours off between shifts.
- Recipe cost from real bills. Butter, flour, chocolate, dairy and packaging prices come from the bills you forward, so every recipe and serve shows its true cost.
- Seasonal menus. Add a seasonal item, see its cost against your target before it goes on the board, and mark sold out items so they show on your online menu right away.
- Stock and waste. Counts, what runs out before the next delivery, and waste logged as it happens.
- Staff on a link. Bakers and counter staff see shifts and ask for days off from a private link.
The features behind it
What it looks like day to day
A typical week: the butter supplier raises prices, Desk flags it on the day and shows what it does to the cost of a croissant, Avo suggests a price that keeps your margin, and you decide.
POS and setup
Square connects in a few minutes and brings in real sales, menu and team. On another POS, the founder builds the connection on request; schedule, team, bills, menu and stock work either way. Setup takes about 15 minutes: name the venue, connect the POS, bring in the team, forward the first bill.
Price
$149 CAD per location a month, or $1,490 CAD a year. Everything is in one plan, for 1 to 5 locations. The first 30 days are free and no card is needed. Founding 20: the first 20 venues in Vancouver pay $99 CAD a month, for good.
Who makes it
Tasti Desk is built by Tasti.io in Burnaby, BC, by founder Yuriy Romanyuk, a former restaurant operator in Vancouver. Your data is stored in Canada and never sold. See also: Tasti Desk in Metro Vancouver, BC scheduling rules in plain words and how Desk compares. Prices and plans: pricing.
